eyeExpert, LLC - Our Company

Will the eyeExpert Systems interface with my existing PC network?
Yes, the images can be sent to your PC server and accessed from your existing PCs. eyeExpert uses TCP/IP protocol to connect to all servers. They can also be burned to CDs and imported into your PCs. The Apple CD drives use a universal formatting standard that is recognized by PCs.

Can I buy the adapter separately?
No, it would not do you any good without our complete system with the software.

How do you store the images?
The original file is written to the CD format, which is non-modifiable and permanent (not erasable or changeable). This format is international (ISO 9660) and is readable by any Mac, PC, or Unix based system. The files are "TIFF" files that are non-proprietary so they can be opened by most imaging programs. CDs have been rated at a 100 year shelf life. Archival prints can also be made, which have a protective plastic coating to be put into a paper file.

How does the cost of digital compare to film-based angiography?
The initial outlay for the digital equipment is higher, but the savings start immediately due to the reduced time, space, materials and training required to process the images. There is no "darkroom time" where the photographer is locked up for 15-30 minutes in a darkroom processing the film. There are no costs for film, chemicals, equipment or space for a darkroom. There is no wasted time reshooting since the photographer can shoot knowing that he/she has good images captured. Overall, digital systems provide a short pay back period, and more favorable economics than film-based systems.
